ABOUT
A bit more about us!
WebCrafters
WebCrafters is a student-led project aiming to enable students to access the hidden job market through the power of the personal website. Whether you are a student, a graduate, or looking to have a change of career, we are here to help you promote your personality and achievements in the best possible light. How? By teaching you to code your own personal portfolio website and showing you how to interface that site with LinkedIn and other key employability sites to maximise your online presence. These will enable you to gravitate towards the hidden job market and showcase yourself in the best possible light to prospective employers.
According to Workfolio, 56% of employers are more impressed by a candidate’s personal website than any other personal branding tool, yet only 7% of job seekers utilise one. Our interactive 6-week website coding course, delivered by our programme developers and mentors, will enable you to differentiate yourself from the comfort of your home. Also, an employability session at the end of the course will include a professional talk on how personal websites can be utilised to access jobs that are never advertised. On the whole, WebCrafters will help you to showcase the “best you” online, and guide you towards the hidden job market!
Don’t miss out, sign up today for our course starting in early November!

JOIN THE TEAM
Are you looking to increase your employability? Stand out to future employers? Demonstrate practical skill and business acumen? All while doing charitable work in the community? Then Enactus Sheffield has the perfect opportunity for you!
Enactus Sheffield is looking for students who are passionate about coding to join us in a variety of technical roles. If you can code in HTML, CSS and JavaScript then we have a place for you on the team, no other experience required! We have a variety of teaching roles, course design positions, and solution orientated jobs for those who are looking to demonstrate the ability to use technical skills to solve issues in a business environment.
What we offer in return for your time is the opportunity to drastically increase your employability while funding charitable causes. All the money raised from these projects goes directly to tackling issues in the community, we fund projects that deal with period poverty, elderly loneliness, African water shortages and many more. By joining an Enactus Sheffield commercial project you are dedicating your time to something that really makes a difference.
We also help you increase your employability by allowing you to demonstrate your technical abilities in the real world: take your problem solving out of the classroom to tackle live scenarios that arise in a business setting; design and deliver courses actually taken by paying students; showcase yourself to employers in ways your peers can't. Alongside this we offer a programme of LinkedIn recommendations, to verify your skills, and select HEAR accreditation. In short, if you are looking to contribute to society and look good doing it, then the commercial portfolio is the place for you.
